Open Top Dentures
is my top denture to big?
when my mouth hangs open, like it tends to do when i’m relaxed, my upper teeth show, and whe i smile my lip goes above the top of the teeth and showes gums. What’s the problem? the denture fits good just looks like the teeth are to low.
I had the same problem and it made me feel uncomfortable.
I hated the way they looked even though they fit really well.
I took them back and explained to my dentist exactly what I
saw. I showed him a picture of what I looked like previously
with my own teeth. He used it to determine if the size of the teeth were too big/ long, or if there was too much gum material. After this step, I ended up with dentures that look so natural that no one can tell that they are not my own! I am in my early 40s and this was important to me.
