My mom needs to get tooth implants. She's 58 and can't afford anything to expensive. What's affordably available?
She’s not keen on the idea of dentures, but her teeth are pretty bad. What are some options?
She doesn’t have insurance so it will be out of pocket. We know it’s expensive, but we’re trying to find the LEAST expensive option.
Implants are the most expensive.
Top of the line would be implant dentures where the dentures are permanently attached to implant screws. I don’t know what the cost is but if I had to estimate I’d say apprx. 10-12k total. That would include
upper and lower. Individual implants are going to run apprx. 3-4k per tooth.
Yes, that’s per tooth.
Regular run-of-the-mill dentures would be the least expensive.
She needs to visit a specialist to review all options/costs.
Dentures are the best alternative because implants are very expensive. She will get used to them.
The only other option are bridges but she must have enough tooth structure to hold them and probably a partial.
have her consult her insurance provider & the biller at the dentist’s office. they will give her options for treatment & payment.
