Implants or partial dentures ?

Im 47 and recently went to a dental school for extensive work. Had a few more teeth pulled, got all my cavities fixed and got 2 brides on both sides of my top teeth.

Whats left is Im missing 4 back molars 2 on each side and one wisdom tooth that will have to come out but they’ve left it for now.

Then said I might be able to get by with just one implant on each side rather than 2.

But, its also going to take bone graphs & multiple surgERies & visits and Im thinking that with the cost combined with unpleasantness’s & pain maybe I should just get 2 partial dentures instead.

But apparently not having teeth there causes other problems.

Id appreciate any & all help.

I put off my dental heath for way too long and finally feel a lot better about it because at least I don’t have gaps so I can smile without being self conscious.

Im a dental technician and from knowledge it is better to get the implants as its makes the alveolar ridge act as if there are still teeth there and not resorbing.
If you just get a denture over time the alveolar ridge will resorb and the denture will not fit properly and will have to be relined. But it would be alot cheaper and there wouldn’t be any unpleasantness compared to getting the implants.
If you are worried about what would happen without the implants you could have the implants but get a denture to attach to them as this would avoid ridge absortion and would maybe cheaper than getting a bridge or crown fitted to the implants.
