Hot Dentures
Plese I need to find a dentist in the Hot Springs area that will accept payments?
My husband just had oral surgery and needs dentures badly. He is recovering from cancer in his mouth and needs to be able to eat
It is Hot Springs Ar. Also in the 50 mile area is okay
Have you turned to your local or area American Cancer Society. They are a good resource. they also have a lot of information and support on line. The local group may be able to help you find that dentist. Also ask the main desk at the cancer treatment center they might have resources for your area and dentist that are working with their patients. If you have not checked with the insurance company yet, please do so there may be some coverage for the teeth under these circumstances. Worst they can say is no. I am unsure about the treatment for oral cancer, but follow the practitioners advice for his diet and consistency. Do not be afraid to call back to clarify something or tell them of the troubles he is having.You can also approach the social worker at the hospital and see what they can tell you. Good luck to you and your husband while you fight this good fight. Keep your spirits up as much as possible. Sometimes I think it is harder to be the family member than the patient. I know it seemed that way while i was in treatment, harder on hubby who just wanted to make it all better. Seriously talk to the ACS and use the online groups too. Yahoo chat cancer were a pretty supportive group as well.
