Dental Plan Dentures
Extractions considered surgery?
I am getting a denture. My dental ins plan covers 80% for surgery, but only $1000 reimbursement for a calendar year, so they will not pay for surgery. I was told that teeth extractions is surgery and necessary if I need a denture. Is the insurance pulling me over the table? Should I submit a complaint?
COMPLAINING WILL BE FUTILE. IF YOUR INSURANCE JUST OFFERS $1,000 PER CALENDAR YEAR THEN YOU MUST PAY THE DIFFERENCE.
YOU COULD OPT TO WAIT WILL LATE DECEMBER FOR THE EXTRACTIONS AND HAVE THE DENTURES STARTED JAN 1, 2009.
YOUR MAX PER YEAR OF $1,000 IS VERY COMMON.
