Dental Implant Surgery: Exposing the Mental Nerve and Foramen

February 19th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

Tulsa periodontist and Tulsa Institute founder, Dr. David Wong demonstrates how dental implant surgery for the edentulous patient can be safe and relatively simple. Exposing the mental foramens during implant surgery can help the periodontist or implant surgeon get properly oriented and minimize complications such as improper spacing, malalignment, or paresthesia. This video shows the exposure of both the right and left mental foramens.
